Spring is just around the corner so you need to be thinking about sealing your pavers!
If you didn’t know you HAVE to seal your pavers every 2-3 years to protect them from the Florida elements like rain. Rain is one of the most damaging elements for your pavers. One of the most important reasons is rain will damage the top layer of your pavers. Brick pavers are concrete, so water is not its friend. Especially when it falls from the sky at a fast rate. Over time it will make your pavers course and rough to the touch. It takes the top smooth layer away and they just wont shine and look like they use to. Old damaged pavers never look as good as new protected pavers.
I know most people think “oh they are hard concrete pavers nothing should damage them. Well unfortunately that is wrong. One of the other reasons you should seal your pavers is to water proof them. By sanding and sealing your pavers you are waterproofing your pavers so water doesn’t go underneath them and wash out the paver base. “When” this happens not “if”, you will have to pay for someone to repair your pavers because they will sink and become unleveled. We offer a special to repair then clean, sand and seal your brick pavers right here in the Jacksonville FL area.
There are many reasons why you should seal your pavers but by far these are some of the main reasons. Give us a call if you have any questions about paver sealing, paver repairing or paver installations. Thank you for reading! 🙂
